In August 2025, the time has come: Sail will once again take place in the heart of Amsterdam. The whole city will be buzzing with activity. You can also experience the party, by taking a boat trip with Sail Amsterdam 2025.
SAIL is best experienced from the water. All our ships are present and we offer various packages to experience SAIL Amsterdam. For our boat rides during this party, we found a very appropriate reception location. All arrangements with the salon boats begin and end at Museumwerf ‘t Kromhout, on the Hoogte Kadijk in the heart of Amsterdam. The wharf is our permanent berth during Sail. Packages with the Steamship Success and Luxe lemsteraak de Grote Jager depart from Zaandam. All ships are official participants of SAIL and will enter the Orange Harbor with Tall ships.
Sail Amsterdam 2025 will last for 5 days: the starting signal will be given with the Sail In on Wednesday, Aug. 20. On this day, the tall ships will be welcomed in IJmuiden after which, festively accompanied by ships and small vessels, they will sail across the North Sea Canal to the IJhaven. The following days are festive in Amsterdam, each night ending grandly with fireworks over the IJ River. Sunday, Aug. 25, is the last (official) day of Sail.
If you want to take a boat trip during these four days, we have several packages for you. On Aug. 20, the day of Sail In, you can set sail with the tall ships. On several days we offer coffee cruises, afternoon cruises, drinks boats and evening cruises through the Sail area, with the fireworks at night. Aug. 25, you can participate in the Sail Out Parade with one of our salon boats.
Sail 2025 is still far away, but we recommend that you book your boat trip early now. Experience shows that, once the time comes, the boating arrangements are met with great interest. So be there on time. Otherwise, you will soon be able to watch only from the shore as others sail by.
The times of the cruise depend on the chosen arrangement. For example, there are breakfast arrangements, coffee arrangements, afternoon arrangements, drinks arrangements and early and late dinner arrangements that give you the opportunity to admire Sail Amsterdam 2025.
