Interior of unique saloon boat gets new lustre

The name Co van der Horst is inextricably linked to introductions of
among others, Jan Kath, Muller van Severen, Vincent Van Duysen, Tom Dixon and
Christoph Delcourt to Studiopepe. Also special are the “out-of-home
projects that Co van der Horst signs for.
For example, the assignment from Rederij Belle to completely furnish and decorate the Netherlands’ largest luxury saloon boat,
the ‘Dame van Amstel’, to completely furnish and decorate it.
In 2017, interior designer Myrthe Stam of Co van der Horst gave the interior
given a refit. On the premise of preserving the classic values
of the ship and providing them with sleek, high-end furnishings and styling.
In the redesign, the chairs are a re-interpretation of a classic bistro chair and
the accessories were done in copper. A material that is frequently
used in authentic ships. For the upholstery, fabrics with a
floral pattern, classic but now as an extremely modern addition.
