Aalsmeer is best known for its flower auction, the largest in the world. But those who have visited the city once will certainly remember the water tower. The 50-meter-high tower was built in 1928 in fine Art Deco style. It has not been in use for decades, but can be visited. In 2008, the municipality of Aalsmeer named this national monument an official wedding location. Sail there by saloon boat and say yes to each other at the top of the tower!
